WITH LOVE: BATAM

Some pictures from early this month when Tim and i had a mini celebration for him leaving the army weeks before he actually left. City escapes are fun but beach getaways are my favourite:)

We had a little hiccup with the resort we were supposed to stay in but then we got upgraded to its sister resort with a nicer view and better facilities so it was a pretty win win situation for us. We also got to check in at 10am which was a great big deal since we both had barely 3 hours of sleep the night before. It was such a huge room with high ceilings and farm-like theme to it, so i was pretty happy with even though we got a blocked sea view.

We had breakfast every morning to this view and a stroll out to the bridge with amazing scenery.

Things we did at the resort:
Found a hammock to play in, get bitten by insistent mosquitoes, climbed a tree, get splashed by rising water tides, duck dragonflies at the pool, watched China girls pose seductively for their phone cameras, make funny faces and piggyback each other.
Oh, fun times:)

Tim's "stupid mosquito bit me" face

It was a great time off trip for both of us and having Tim around to explore new places is always such a joy Come 2014, he will be taking on the corporate world at an office near mine so it would be awesome to see him more often. I'm ending off with one of my favourite picture of us since i have too many favorites and its of Tim refusing to share the Hello Panda biscuit he bought. Just kidding. He did share even if he was pretty reluctant to.
If you're reading this Tim, love you!

THE POST-CHRISTMAS

I finally found time to squeeze in a short blog post because December has been such a hectic month of festivities, not that i'm complaining, and also because i am on leave till next year. Hurray!

First up
MERRY CHRISTMAS & HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL!

Truly it's been a great month to end 2013 with so many cheers and thanksgiving. Because of our individual commitments, Tim and i have been busy as a bee with hardly enough time to see each other let alone plan our I date for our ABC dating challenge so unfortunately, that'll will probably have to be pushed back to January. My deepest apologies for those patiently waiting for it and i'll keep you guys updated here.

2 days later, i'll be travelling to batam with my family for a quick getaway for cheap seafood dinners and massages. There will also be a special post coming up on 31 Dec so keep your eyes peeled for that!

What i've been so busy with these past few weeks in between celebrations and gatherings is the whole room revamping + spring cleaning thing going on in our house right now. So most times if i'm not out, im mostly covered in paint and wall putty or cuts and bruises accumulated from shifting and packing things.

My house is a battleground.

Everything is about 80% done and i'm really happy with the way things turned out. Once it's 100% completed, i'll post an update up on this blog:)
A sneak peek on my room can be seen in some photos below.

And greetings from the world's first reindog

TIM DID MY MAKEUP...and i did his

Taking on the ever popular "My boyfriend did my makeup" tag, i actually let Tim manhandled my face and no one was more shocked than i am when he actually let me girl-lified his face. Nobody i appreciate more in the world to be my better half and everyday i am grateful for this guy in my life.

Bare-faced while Tim explored the wonders of makeup by diligently applying everything in massive amounts. He had a lot of fun making me look like a cross between a raccoon and the Queen of hearts from Alice in Wonderland. The only good out of this situation was perhaps we both had an amazing time and he was nice enough to let me exact revenge.

And the final look....

He was cackling at my face for about 10 seconds.
Until i casually mentioned that i was going to do his...

... and then the laughter stopped.

And his result was...
an understated beauty.

Yep, i think we'll both have a future in makeup artistry.

So much love for this guy and his tolerance of my wild ways.

Till then,
Melissa
