Heaven in Home

I dont know why but i like staying at home. A lot. Because that place away from the hustle and bustle of life is my sanctuary, my haven and the cheapest place i can be. With everything provided for me, there's really no where else i rather be. Or maybe im just a stay at home girl who doesnt like to go out cause the sun is so hot and everything else hurts my wallet.

But its my home that spots a fantastic view outside, cooling appliances, free food and entertainment that appeals to me. Decked out in comfy wear, relaxing and chilling, blogging and being me in my unfinest and ugliest hour. I can sleep and eat anytime i want, i can stalk people's fb profile anytime i want,  i can put up my leg anytime i want, i can sing loudly and off-key anytime i want.
i can freaking do anything i want.

I can be whoever i want in the house. A maid, a girl, a slob, a bitch

Doesnt that reek "awesome" to you?

1) Absolutely no judgement on looks

Specs, no makeup, comfy clothes

2) Unlimited Free Food

Ice Cream, ice cream, more ice cream

3) Retail therapy

Wide selection of clothes but i only got one picture here :x

4) Entertainment

My home, my heaven.
It has little bits of me and my family in it. All my personal stuff, things that define who i am (right now my table and unpacked bed defines me as a slob) and my memories.

But im just a little girl,

Can You Imagine Me, as a Soldier?

I've been away for pretty long on my blog cause its been a rough past week. Im not going to go into any details or tell why because its such a majorly depressing and sad sob story. The bottom line is i was so out of it last week and i was super moody and feeling-less (if there's such a word)  hence the lack of updates on this personal space of mine. However, things have been looking up this week and my mood is definitely lifting up with the encouragement of my friends, you know who you are so thank you guys.

In case any of you forgot who i am in the past week, this is me, typically

And this is me, acting cute as usual

Please dont puke.

Over the last week, there were a lot of commotion and buzz about the retarded netizens from the online community who were mocking NS men for being weak. Now these remarks went straight to my head because my dad is a SAF personnel and all of us definitely have some current recruits or former recruit friends and i was pretty riled up by those thoughtless statements. I shared the page link on my Facebook profile and added in a F*** you B**** to express my anger. Not exactly the smartest thing to do, especially since i have my family on Facebook but that literally was my reaction at that time. That post is now taken down but here's what i still have to say about the issue.

True Story.

Following all that hype from that issue piqued my interest in reading up more on Singapore's army and having a career there. I started off with reading up on being a DXO, defence executive officer followed by the other career paths such as SAF intelligence, army, navy and air force. I read the individual job scopes and being a DXO, sounded pretty damn boring to me, sitting in an office, making policies, communication plans. Not my ideal kind of job since i think im quite a hands-on kind of person. Then i started reading about girls BMT (basic military training), WOCC (women's officer cadet course) and i wanted to do that. No, seriously, the more i read up on it, the more i wanted to try it out. I told my dad and my brother and they literally gave me "HAHA, ya right, you're crazy" face. especially my dad, he looked at me in disbelief, shook his head and continued watching his show.

So nobody believes me and i somehow dont believe myself either, and i know the training is not gonna be a walk in the park for me, someone who cannot do a single chin up, probably runs her 2.4km in no less than 16mins, waking up at 5am in the morning and doing PTs or route marches, having the strength to carry my rifle and field pack and being out in the jungle where there's *gasps* creepy crawlies.

Its such a joke for me to be in the army, training. The only thing i'll probably be good at is camouflaging, cause no one can see me because of my height and squealing when im all dirty and grimy. But i do have to say, im keeping my options open on my career paths and if the time comes and i need to choose, im keeping an open mind and being in the army is definitely gonna be one of my choices.

So, can you imagine me being a soldier?

Not Just For Walking

First of all, i am a shoes person/lover of shoes. I dont need new clothes or new bags (its more a want) but i definitely need new shoes. I love having new shoes! And i absolutely love any type of shoes.

My Nike, Adidas shoes, heels, wedges, sandals, flats, slippers. OMG. Super love them. I never think i have enough shoes and im always complaining to my parents about my lack of shoes and they usually respond by giving me the "WTF are you talking about?" face and exclaimed loudly "You have the most shoes in the house!" I  know i know. Im greedy...

So i decided to do a random update on my shoes that i used for dancing. Got inspired after one of my friends saw me in a different dance shoe and said "How many shoes do you have?!"

Disclaimer alert: Im not bragging about the number of shoes i have here or trying to show off alright. Most of the shoes were bought with my own money so dont be hating please.

Its only a very small collection of shoes, I've known others who have way more but im happy with mine and cannot wait to add more to the collection!

1. White/Pink Nike Air

 2. Black/Gold Adidas

3) Superman Edition Converse

4) Purple/Blue Osiris Skater Shoes

5) Blue/Yellow Nike Dunks

 6) Purple Nike Dunks

 7) Red/White Adidas High Cut

Marvel's Avengers, A New Twist

Haha, im just kidding,

Or am i?

Hi, i hope you guys enjoyed the retarded spoof that i've made and fine, go ahead and laugh!
Credits to Juncheng for helping to photoshop my face onto Iron man!

Im sure, most of us are very very very excited for the release of this film and why shouldn't you be?! Its many superhero fantasies all rolled into one and for those who had watched the individual movies such as Thor, Captain America, The Hulk and Iron Man 1 & 2, this movie is like the finale to everything where everyone comes together as one. If you thought the individual movies were awesome, this movie would be awesome x 10! (that is in my opinion)

Have you guys watched the trailer yet?

A breakdown of the characters in the Avengers Initiative

1. Captain America

Captain America, played by Chris Evans, was once the skinny boy from Brooklyn who had the heart and spirit to fight and defend his country but couldn't because of his small physique. However, he later became super soldier through chemical enhancements and helped his country in their war efforts.

2. Iron Man

Iron man, played by Robert Downey Jr, is basically a guy in a super cool, super functional iron suit.  This superhero fantasy is more realistic to me in my opinion because Tony Stark was just an ordinary guy with an extraordinary amount of money and knowledge of technology to create an iron suit. With the rapid advancement of technology in our world, who knows, maybe one day we'll be able to create such suits for our own use too!

3. Thor

The God of Thunder, played by Chris Hemsworth, was thrown out of his home because of his arrogance and banished to the planet Earth. Just another hunky drools-worthy man for the females on earth to gush over. Thor's source of power is in his shiny hammer but he couldnt retrieve it until he was worthy enough. In the end, he manages to get back his hammer when he sacrificed himself  and in the Avengers movie, Thor's brother, Loki, is the one that trying to take over the world and the Avengers has to stop him!

4.The Incredible Hulk

Bruce Banner is the incredible hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, who was the victim of experiments by his father, A lot of scientific facts later and altered DNA, and Bruce banner became the incredible hulk with tremendous strength and enormous leaps

5. The Black Widow and Hawkeye

Both of them are the only two superheroes in the Avengers Initiative that dont actually have superhero powers. Scarlet Johansson and Jeremy Renner plays Black Widow and Hawkeye respectively who have exceptional skills like martial arts and archery that make up for the lack of superpowers. Still so cool.

So whose my favorite character in the Avengers?
It obviously has to be CAPTAIN AMERICA!

I like how his story of his desire to fight for his country could overcome physical strength. And how he became a beacon of shining light to those in need during the suffering of war. Captain America showed that sometimes, physical strength is not enough and even though he did get buff and drools-worthy in the end, he had to go through a lot of sacrifices before he could become the superhero that he is. And even then, everyone that he knew and loved died way before he could be reunited with them. Such a sad tale.
