A Wild Adventure

Hello!
It's been a while since i last posted anything remotely interesting but since i'm on the rare occasion that my laptop is switched on during the weekend (no thanks to work, boohoo!) i might as well take the opportunity to upload our zoo outing that happened just a few hours ago.

So it's been eons ago since i last went to the Singapore Zoo but since my company is a corporate friend of the zoo, admission is free for 1 staff and up to 3 guests so Tim and i plus his second brother and gf joined us for the double date adventure!

And off we went~

We were lucky because it rained just before we went but the sun was shining when we reached the zoo and after about 2 hours of roaming around, dark skies headed our way so we left, still dry and happy. The zoo has changed so much since my last visit and added in so much new exhibits and rides. The highlight of our trip was probably the boat ride otherwise known as the Pedro boat, named after one of the otters in the Night Safari. It was a relaxing, cooling and scenic ride around the seletar reservoir from one dock to the other and brought us straight to the white tiger exhibit!

Well worth the $5 we paid and best of all, great lighting and scenery for pictures :p

Eyeballs away

Otters are really freaking cute omg.

Everyone remember King Julius from Madagascar?

Taking a break after exploring the rainforest! The zoo is really pretty huge so remember to wear comfortable shoes for tons of walking. Half the time we were either riding the tram or sitting in the boat to get us from one place to the other.

And if you haven't noticed, my outfit sorta matches our zoo trip since im donning my favourite tiger shorts to see the tigers at the zoo. As well as the other animals of course.

I love free stuff! :D

Boat ride!
Gorgeous scenery, cooling breeze and picture perfect lighting.

When you're ready, come and get it, na na na na ~

We didn't really get to explore much for the short period that we were there but it was definitely an enjoyable day. We managed to see hippos, otters, flamingos, white tiger, crocodiles, lots of primates, all kinds of birds and bugs and glimpses of giraffes and lions.  Go in the morning if it's not raining so you can cover more ground since there's a lot of walking and sight-seeing to do and you'll enjoy the experience a lot more.

Don't forget to indulge in your inner child and head over to the kids land at the zoo where you can see horses, ponies and feed goats up close and for free! There's also a mini waterpark there so children will definitely love it.

Word of advice
Try to bring your own food and water over there as the zoo is a tourist destination so prices there are at least doubled!

River Safari is only a stone's throw away from the zoo but we didn't pop by as we were running out of time and the exhibits are not fully opened yet. But our famous pandas, Kai Kai and Jia Jia are housed there so panda lovers, you know where to head to!

It was a short trip but nevertheless, i always love spending time with tim as well as his er ge and er sao!
